Animals in Wild
We will directly work to protect and save wild animals from being traded and used for entertainment.
The wild fauna is constantly in danger due to the lack of proper institutional inspections of perpetrators, in this case poachers. The Kosovo Police rarely detects illegal hunters. The hunter associations don’t have proper strategic action plans and/or reports of their work and activities. Many wild animals are tragic victims of random people and poachers who go for hunting regardless of the prohibited hunting season, which in Kosovo too, is stipulated by law. We will aim to raise awareness among society on wildlife protection and convince and support the public institutions one wildlife protection and conservation. We will campaign against zoos and any other enclosures that promote the captive of wild animals. We will aim to educate the public on the variety of wild animals’ species and their miraculous nature of being, so that they no longer tolerate abuses infected by these cruel trades. Throughout every step of our campaigns and programmes, we will engage and mobilize our supporters. We want them to ensure different stakeholders are moved to protect and keep wild animals in their natural habitat through changes in policy and practice. This will ultimately benefit the lives of thousands of wild animals in Kosovo alone.
