Since January 2019, anyone who abuses animals will have the possibility of prison, too! We are very happy about this wonderful change!
So far, no legal provision affecting animal rights has been considered as a real criminal offense.
Now, abuse and maltreatment are considered as criminal offenses, even in Kosovo!
Namely, the newly revised Criminal Code in Kosovo contains and has also approved the Article 346, which includes animal maltreatment and contamination of food and water of animals.
