Lion kept in a cage

November 20, 2019 admin

This is unacceptable!

The lawyers of the Animal Rights Foundation will review the laws in force and we will act as soon as possible for the best of the lion kept there in a small cage.
Keeping animals that way, importing them (probably ilegally) shows just how weak the state is in monitoring and handling such situations.

Hopefully we also get the attention of international organizations in order to get the lion out of that place.

UPDATE 22.11.2019:

According to a meeting the Animal Rights Foundation had with the Food and Veterinary Agency today, it received the news that the agency is conducting its own investigations into the lion’s entry into the state, and the living conditions / welfare of the lion in the cage. According to information from the meeting, veterinary inspectors were at the site investigating the situation.
Very soon they will come out with their public statement.

With the help of one of the activists from the United for Animals – UFA Organization, we are in touch with some of the responsible of the FOUR PAWS International organization.
Our organization has also contacted some foreign organizations (including our partner organisation in Italy LAV) that have proper sanctuaries where the lion and other animals can be handed over.

We will stay ready with our professional attorneys if the KVFA does not take any mandatory legal measures to confiscate the lion.

The lion, the chimpanzee and any other wild animal protected by law must leave that place!
