These days the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has contracted a company to continue treating another 800 dogs, including their capture, care, sterilization, vaccination and matriculation.
In addition, the necessary procedures for the construction of a temporary stray dog treatment center have already been completed and work on the construction of this center will begin within two weeks. The municipality is also establishing cooperation with animal protection organizations, which will monitor the treatment of these dogs and engage for raising citizens’ awareness of animal welfare.
In order to make the dog treatment process more successful, citizens’ cooperation is also needed, so if untreated dogs are found (if they do not have earplugs) then please report them immediately to the call center on the toll free number 0800 19 200 or on Viber and WhatsApp on +383 45 119 200.
